devin

Devin is this sweet girl who's 1 month younger than amy. The first time we visited amy's daycare,it's her smile and avery's silly rolling-around make me decide that that day care is the one. it's gotta be a good daycare for babies to be that happy and relaxed.
now more than 1 year later, avery is still my favorite one in their room for her chubby cheeks. and some how devin has become amy's favorite person in the whole wild world. every morning if i say, you wanna go play with devin? amy'd run to the door and try to stuff her feet into her shoes. every weekend, she'd try ask me, where is devin. i even have to use devin as an example to win our everyday bargin about if i can sleep with her...the downside of her first ever friendship is, the whole week last week, when devin's family's having a vacation, amy didn't want to go to day care any more. :(.
on monday, i casually mentioned to amy, devin's on vacation, she will be back next week. only to find out that tuesday morning, the first thing she said to me is, "DEVIN WILL BE BACK, I BIG HOUSE". i was shocked that she actually can remember this. after that, every morning i had to use the BIG GIRL card to convince amy that she's a big girl, she HAS TO go to school, like mommy... luckily she'd be reluctantly agreeing to that. but according to the teacher, it wasn't that easy through out the day. she'd be really fuzzy, whinny, and lost, keep mumbling to herself, devin will be back, mommy mommy mommy~

thank goodness today devin's back at school (i'll have to syncronize with devin's mommy next time about vacation, and i am not kidding). this morning when we dropped amy off, devin's already there and was playing a shape sorter by herself. amy was so happy to see devin that she just circled around devin and yelled, HI DEVIN HI DEVIN~ however, devin's too busy to notice that. she was fighting with sean cuz sean tried to help her with a triangle. she's like, NOOOOOOO! LEAVE ME ALONE! i was getting a little bit sad for her lack-of-enthusiasm to see amy. i always pictured it as a mutual girl-friends kinda thing. good thing is amy didn't seem to mind at all. just when i tried to persuade myself to let it go and leave them alone, amy picked up a square and put it into the shape sorter for devin. i almost freaked out. i was afraid that devin would push amy away and hurt amy's feeling. surprisingly, devin gave amy a huge smile and said THANK YOU AMY~ then they two started playing together.
